Norwest is experiencing a generational transformation. Mulpha Australia — the suburb's original developer — is investing $3 billion across two landmark projects: Norwest Quarter and the redevelopment of Norwest Marketown. Together, these projects will deliver over 1,700 new apartments, hotels, retail, and lakefront public spaces over the next decade.

Norwest Quarter Stage One was completed in December 2025, with 15 specialty retailers including Evolve Health Club and The Growers supermarket opening in early 2026. The $3bn Norwest Marketown redevelopment — approved in 2024 — will deliver 854 apartments, 200 hotel rooms, and 117,000sqm of retail overlooking Norwest Lake.

The Hills Shire Council forecasts the local population will grow from 188,500 in 2021 to 250,000 by 2036, driven by the Metro Northwest corridor and ongoing urban renewal. For buyers and investors, Norwest represents one of Sydney's most compelling long-term growth stories.
